JailBreaking ipod touch 2G 4.1 (MC and non MC model) with Greenpois0n: Complete Guide !!

You must have upgraded your ipod touch to the latest OS 4.1 and you may have also been searching for the proper and Ultimate Guide for you to Jail break your ipod OS 4.1 with the new Greepois0n software.  

In this post I'll give you the Ultimate Guide to JailBreak your ipod 4.1 safely with the new Greenpois0n JB software. Lets Begin:

First you'll need to download Greenpois0n software to your computer. You can download it here.

It is the link of official homepage of the Developer. There you can download the software for MAC, LINUX and WINDOWS selectively as required !! Download the file.

Then you'll need to totally turn off your ipod. You can do that by pressing the 'sleep button' on the top of your ipod, for may be like 5 seconds. Then you'll see the slide option on the top-to turn off you ipod. Slide it and your ipod will be off. 

Then connect it to your computer (if the ipod turns back on then it is due to your itunes, close itunes and then, again turn off you ipod), then open the downloaded Greenpois0n software. Then you'll notice this !!

Then click on the 'Prepare to Jailbreak (DFU)' tab. Now you will need to be a-bit careful on proceeding jailbreak process.

The new window will ask for you to press and hold the sleep button for 2 seconds then Continue holding sleep; then press and hold home button for 10 seconds and then release sleep button and continue holding home button for 15 seconds.

Then after doing so successfully, you can press the Jailbreak tab shown to start jailbreaking. It will take about 5 min (maximum) to complete the jail-breaking process. Then turn on your ipod, there you'll notice a LOADER app. installed in your ipod. Open the application and download Cydia application from there. You'll need a Wi-Fi connection for the Download. 


Now your ipod is completely jail-breaked. You tweak your ipod's look by downloading themes from Winder board and install 3rd party applications from Installous application.

Increase your computer RAM thereby increasing the computer speed..

For the users who are bearing the slow computers and are just siting there doing nothing about it, I have got a simple yet powerful solution and I'm sure you'll find it effective.

Our computer speed depends on RAM, its memory usage. So, if you try to run a heavy program, it will certainly consume high memory and thus slows down your computer. So, there are two things you can do: you can get a highmemory ram or you can just make those program consume less memory..Well, I'm not suggesting you to buy a RAM but helping you to use the existing memory effectively and efficiently...Here's what you should do:

1. First open a heavy program (..i considered Microsoft Word ) and then open your task manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL or CTRL+SHFT+ESC).

2. In your Task manager select the processes view..then arrange the Memory Usage in descending order..

3. There you will notice that the 'WINWord .exe' will be at the top.

4. Then go back to 'Word' and minimize it (donot minimize all programs but only Word) and then see its memory usage in the Task Manager.

5. You'll probably see it little down...

This shows that memory consumed by the programs can easily be reduced by just minimizing them. Now, you can just minimize the program to reduce their memory usage and hence increase your RAM thereby increasing the computer speed.

How to double your browser's speed ??

Firefox is preferred for browsing all over the world and it has been outperforming IE in every department for years, and i found version 3 is speedier than ever.

And now with the right settings you can make it still more faster, more than doubling your speed in some situations, with just a little bit of your time. Just follow the steps, it just takes 5 minutes not much.:

1. Enable the pipelining
Pipelining is a technique that lets the browsers send multiple requests before any responses are recieved and it often reduces the page downloading time. To enable it yoou just have to type about:config in your address bar, double-click network.http.pipelining and network.http.proxy.pipelining so their values are set to true, then double-click network.http.pipelining.maxrequests and set this to 8. But some servers don't support pipelining, though, and if you regularly visit a lot of these then the tweak can actually reduce performance. Set network.http.pipelining and network.http.proxy.pipelining to false again if you have any problems.

2. Render quickly

Heavy pages takes a while to download and firefox doesn't want to keep you waiting so it displays what it's recevied so far every 0.12 seconds (the "content notify interval"). While this helps the browser feel snappy, frequent redraws increase the total page load time, so a longer content notify interval will improve performance.
Type about:config and press enter, then right-click somewhere in the window and select New > Integer. Type content.notify.interval as your preference name, click OK, enter 500000 and click OK again.
Right-click again in the window and select New > Boolean. Then create a value called content.notify.ontimer and set it to True and finish the job.

3. Faster loading

If the Firefox user doesn't move their mouse or touch the keyboard for 0.75 seconds then Firefox enters a low frequency interrupt mode, which means its interface becomes less responsive but your page loads more quickly. Reducing the content switch threshold can improve performance, then, and it only takes a moment.
Type about:config and press Enter, right-click in the window and select New > Integer. Type content.switch.threshold, click OK, enter 250000 and click OK to finish.

4. No interruptions

You can take the last step even further by telling Firefox to ignore user interface events altogether until the current page has been downloaded. This is a little drastic as Firefox could remain unresponsive for quite some time, but try this and im quite it will work for you.
Type about:config, press Enter, right-click in the window and select New > Boolean. Type content.interrupt.parsing, click OK, set the value to False and click OK.

5. Block Flash

Intrusive Flash animations are everywhere, popping up over the content you actually want to read and really slows down your browsing. Fortunately there's a very easy solution. Install the Flashblock extension (download it from http://www.flashblock.mozdev.org) and it'll block all Flash applets from loading, so web pages will display much more quickly. And if you discover some Flash content that isn't entirely useless, just click its placeholder to download and view the applet as normal....

So now you'll have a faster browser with less interrupts and smooth display...enjoy..!
