Britain's first computer rehab clinic opens

Gaming among us has been an addiction and really a serious one too. Well, I certainly don’t think so but some serious researchers do think so. And they have a new UK gaming rehab clinic for all the hardcore gamers. It actually offers us specialist therapy and treatment for the so called 'problem'.

The research claims that the gamers actually can spend days at a time just stuck to their computers without food, sleep and any social interaction.

Broadway Lodge is the name of the residential unit, based in the seaside town of Weston-super-Mare. It is a non-profit making organization that has been providing residential treatment, counseling and support services for alcoholism, drug addiction, eating disorders gambling and co-dependency both to individual sufferers and concerned others. And have a rehab clinic for the gamers with special therapy. But the Entertainment and Leisure Software Publishers Association denies that playing online games could lead to addiction. Its director general, Michael Rawlinson, said: ''Playing video games is becoming increasingly mainstream in the UK and we firmly believe in the positive impact playing games can have.''

This rehabilitation center aims to remove this ‘addiction’ and really seems to be serious with their works.
